Samsung has been sitting at the top when it comes to launching foldable phones. The company has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 in India. Among the two, the Z Flip 3 is the most affordable foldable from the company and is priced at Rs 84,999. The pricing suggests that Samsung wants foldable display tech to become mainstream and affordable for consumers. The company might soon launch a laptop with a foldable display. According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Book Fold 17 is in the works. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold laptop details available ahead of the launch.
Samsung Galaxy Book Fold
Samsung could launch a new laptop with a foldable screen. According to a leak, the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold is in the works. Tipster Ice Universe confirmed the moniker of the upcoming Samsung laptop without revealing any details around the specifications. The moniker suggests two things. One, the laptop is likely to have a 17-inch diagonal screen. Second, it will have a foldable display.
The company, at an event earlier this year, did showcase multiple foldable screen applications that it is working on. One of the products showcased was a laptop with an under-screen camera. Samsung debuted the tech first on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The rumoured foldable screen laptop is likely to look a lot different than the one showcased at the Society for Information Display (SID) exhibition.
That being said, we have already seen a foldable display laptop from Lenovo. The X1 Fold launched earlier this year is the world’s first laptop to feature a foldable display. It features a 13.3-inch OLED display that has 2048 × 1536 (2K) pixel resolution. The display panel has a touch screen support, 300 nits brightness, and an aspect ratio of 4:3.
The laptop has a durable multilink torque hinge design and is tested against 12 military-grade certification methods and 27 procedures (MIL-STD 810H). You can click here to know more about the same.
