LG StandbyME Go portable touchscreen display with a briefcase-style carry case has been introduced in the US. The monitor is up for pre-orders in the US and will be released worldwide next month after the showcase at the IFA 2023 to be held in Berlin.

LG StandbyME Go Price and Availability

LG has launched the StandbyME Go monitor in the US with a price tag of $999.99 (~Rs 82,500). It’s up for pre-order in the States until August 27; the shipping will begin on August 28. Those pre-ordering the monitor will receive a complimentary LG XBOOM 360 Bluetooth speaker.

According to the company, the monitor will be showcased at the IFA 2023 along with other lifestyle displays like the LG OLED Object Collection Posé. It will then roll out to markets worldwide in September.

The company has announced that the portable monitor will be available in the UK, Spain, Germany, France, and Italy. There’s no word on India availability, but we can expect it to arrive at the Indian shore as well.

The LG StandbyME Go is a portable touchscreen display with a durable and elegant MIL-STD-810G-rated briefcase-style carry case. The monitor rests inside the carry case attached to a versatile stand, which can rotate and tilt for an adjustable angle, changing orientation, extending height up to 18cm, and placing the monitor in table mode.

The table mode is an interesting feature where the screen lies flat within the case, allowing users to enjoy a virtual record player or digital board games. The display turns on as soon as the case is opened and turns off when the case is closed. There’s storage for the remote control and power cable inside the case. The case offers up to 3 hours of battery life without connecting to a power source.

The display is a 27-inch FHD LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has features like AI Upscaling, Resolution Upscaler, and Dolby Vision. As for audio, there’s a 4-channel 20W speaker setup tuned by Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro. The monitor is powered by an α7 AI Processor Gen5 and boots webOS out of the box. LG has also equipped the remote-controlled monitor with LG Channels, offering more than 300 free channels.

The StandbyME Go supports Apple AirPlay 2, LG ThinQ AI, and voice control. Connectivity-wise, the LG StandbyME Go is equipped with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI, HDMI-CEC, and IP control.
