Xiaomi is reportedly working on the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series smartphones. However, the OEM isn’t done launching smartphones as part of the Note 12 series branding. The company recently announced Redmi Note 12T Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SoC. Xiaomi debuted the vanilla Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G in January 2023. The company later launched a vanilla Redmi Note 12 4G device. Later, Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G with the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset.
The company launched the smartphone in global markets under the Poco F5 branding. Xiaomi later announced Redmi Note 12S, Note 12 Pro 4G and Note 12R Pro. The OEM is set to launch the Redmi Note 12R smartphone soon in China. We recently spotted the smartphone in China Telecom with its renders, pricing and specifications. A new Redmi smartphone has been listed in the IMEI database, allegedly one of the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series smartphones.
Redmi Note 13 Series Smartphone IMEI Database Listing
A report from ITHome reveals that the new smartphone with the model number 2312DRAABC has been listed in the IMEI database. Rumours suggest the device will likely be one of the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series smartphones. However, the IMEI database listing doesn’t reveal any other specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
Recently, we spotted the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone with the model number 23078RKD5C in the 3C listing. The listing revealed that the device would support 120W fast charging tech. There were rumours that the newly listed device in the IMEI database belongs to the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra series smartphone. But the model number of both smartphones indicates that these two aren’t from the same series.
Redmi Note 12 Pro and 12 Pro Plus Specifications
Xiaomi equipped the smartphone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Underneath, the Redmi Note 12 Pro series smartphone sports the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
The chipset pairs with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone came with MIUI 14 based on Android 12 out of the box. The primary difference between both Pro series smartphones lies in rear cameras. Regarding optics, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G has a 200MP Samsung HPX primary sensor.
The sensor has an f/1.65 aperture and a 1/1.4-inch sensor and supports OIS. The sensor is paired with a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. In contrast, the Note 12 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor with OIS. Other camera sensors remained the same.
Xiaomi had equipped both Note 12 Pro smartphones with a 16MP selfie camera. Another difference between both devices lies in battery capacity and fast charging. The Note 12 Pro Plus is backed by a 4980 mAh battery which supports 120W fast charging. The vanilla Note 12 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery that supports a 67W fast charging tech.
