ASUS is gearing up to unveil its next batch of gaming smartphones named the ROG Phone 8 series. It is expected to include three devices: the vanilla ROG Phone 8, 8 Pro, and 8 Pro Ultimate. Recently, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate appeared on the Geekbench database. Today, we have spotted the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro and the Zenfone 11 Ultra on the Bluetooth SIG certification website with model numbers AI2401_C/D/A, AI2401_A/C/F and AI2401_H respectively.
Zenfone 11 Ultra Bluetooth SIG Certification Confirms Zenfone Series is Not Dead Yet
There were rumours circulating that the Zenfone 10 series might mark the end of the Zenfone line. However, the company later clarified that both the ROG and Zenfone series would continue.
The Bluetooth SIG information now hints at the presence of both series, raising questions about whether the company is merging them and potentially releasing devices with different names but incorporating a few changes.
Unfortunately, the listing on the Bluetooth SIG certification doesn’t reveal any specifications of these devices, but it certainly suggests that the official launch is imminent.
The upcoming ROG Phone 8 lineup is poised to follow in the footsteps of the ROG Phone 7 series. Notably, the ROG Phone 7 made its debut in April of the current year, introducing two devices: the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. Both the ASUS ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate.
These smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and are equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Running on Android 13 straight out of the box, these handsets also boast a 50MP triple-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, among their key features. Additionally, both devices come with a robust 6,000mAh battery supporting rapid 65W charging.
