Lava has launched the Lava Storm 5G smartphone in India. The launch comes after the debut of the Lava Yuva 3 Pro just last week. The all-new Storm 5G is an affordable 5G smartphone and comes with dual rear cameras, an FHD+ display, and a 5000mAh battery. The homegrown brand is targeting consumers under the sub-Rs 15,000 segment with its latest offering.

Lava Storm 5G: Pricing, Availability

Lava has launched the Lava Storm 5G in Thunder Black and Gale Green colours. The phone is available in a lone variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Lava reveals that the device can be purchased at an introductory price of Rs 11999.

The introductory price of Rs 11,999 comes after the Rs 1500 bank discount. The regular and box price of the device are Rs 13,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively. Interested buyers can purchase the newly launched smartphone through Amazon India and Lava’s online store. The Storm 5G will go on sale from December 28 through these portals.

Lava Storm 5G: Features, Specifications

Lava has equipped the Storm 5G smartphone with an LCD panel bearing FHD+ resolution. The homegrown brand reveals that the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and Widevine L1 certification. Lava has equipped the smartphone with a centered punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. Under the hood, the handset sports the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, built on a 6nm process.

The chipset has two Cortex A76 cores at 2.4GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali G57 MP2 GPU. Lava claims that the smartphone has scored over 4,20,000 points in the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. The smartphone runs Android 13 out of the box without any bloatware.

In the camera department, the smartphone offers dual individual camera rings and a separate ring for the LED flash at the back. Powering the show is a large 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Lava claims that the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 100 in 82 minutes.
