The Moto G50 5G comes with a water-drop notch display and the notch houses a selfie camera. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that has HD+ 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and a 269 PPI pixel density. The display panel has a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device runs Android 11 out of the box with My UX on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Dimensity 700 processor. The device packs 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and it also has microSD card support for further storage expansion up to 512GB.

In terms of imaging, the G50 5G features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary main camera. The 48MP sensor is accompanied by a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video-calling, the device sports a 13MP camera. The whole package draws power from a 5000mAh battery that has 10W charging support. Connectivity-wise the phone has a dual-SIM support, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone also is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which is embedded in a power button. Dimensions-wise the G50 5G measures 167 x 76.4 x 9.26 mm and weighs 206 grams.
