Nokia appears to be gearing up to launch a new budget handset as a handset with codename Suzume has visited the Geekbench database website. The Nokia Suzume will be the company’s first handset with an Exynos processor. The Nokia Suzume might be one of the four devices that were leaked recently. To those unaware, sparrow birds are called Suzume in Japanese. The database listing has also revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Nokia device. Let us take a detailed look,
Nokia Suzume with Exynos processor Appears on Geekbench!
Nokia Suzume has made an appearance on Geekbench 5 database and scored 306 points in the single-core test. Whereas it scored 1000 points in the multi-core test. Going by the listing, the upcoming Nokia handset appears to be an entry-level smartphone. The listing further reveals that the Nokia Suzume will be powered by an octa-core Exynos processor with codename universal7448B. This should be the Exynos 7884 processor which we have already seen on several Samsung handsets including Galaxy A10, Galaxy A10e, and Galaxy A20 to name a few.
The Geekbench database listing also confirms that the Nokia Suzume will come pre-loaded with the latest version of Android – Android 12, and will pack 3GB of RAM. However, we can expect the company to offer the handset in other RAM variants as well. To those unaware, the Exynos 7884 is quite an old processor and is built on a 14nm process. It makes use of two Cortex-A73 performance-oriented cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores. To take care of the graphics-intensive tasks, the Exynos 7884 comes with an integrated ARM Mali-G71 GPU.
Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the upcoming Nokia handset as of now. However, we can expect the device to show up on other certification websites in the coming weeks.
