Samsung's new Galaxy S21 FE model in the market top-end features at a lower price. But this year the pricing does not match up with the hardware. You get it with a smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage which is non-expandable. The phone gets IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The cameras also deliver quality. Still a decent bet for most users.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is its first in the S series to support stylus. It packs the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB RAM for optimum performance. The cameras deliver quality, and Android 12 out of the box is much needed. The battery life can suffer from a powerful display, the storage is not expandable, no headphone on the device, and the 45W fast charging not what you expect from a flagship phone. Quality device that cannot justify its price tag.

At a starting price of Rs 66,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage), the OnePlus 10 Pro goes up against a host of premium devices in India. It brings a lot to the table - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 80W fast charging support and the adapter ships with the phone, 6.7-inch QHD+ display, and 48-megapixel triple camera setup. Not to forget, the OxygenOS is here to stay and is a popular Android skin.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 flaunts a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is quite brighter, thanks to the 1300 nits brightness. The hardware performance is top-notch, considering that the device packs Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 8GB of RAM. On the software front, the S22 runs Android 12 OS with One UI 4.0 on top. However, the device lacks a microSD card support and the handset only supports 25W fast charging. The Galaxy S22 is overall a good smartphone, which you can consider buying, as it offers a brighter 120Hz display, good hardware performance, and runs the latest Android OS version out of the box.

The Redmi Note 12 and Note 12 Pro+ share the same design. The phone is comfortable to hold and provides a good grip. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a good viewing experience with smooth and fast animations. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery and comes with a 33W charger, easily lasting a day with moderate to heavy usage. The device runs on Android 12, which is disappointing since the latest version, Android 13, should be included. The Note 12 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. It performs moderately well for day-to-day tasks, but games crash too frequently in gaming. The rear camera setup consists of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Daylight shots are acceptable and have good colour accuracy, but the ultrawide camera could do with some improvements. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera with various beauty modes and filters, producing consistently nice skin tones. Considering these factors, the Redmi Note 12 is a good smartphone with a solid design, decent performance, and impressive cameras.

The iQOO Z6 Lite 5G ticks the boxes of iQOO's core philosophy of performance and battery life. Vivo T1 is the latest mid-range 5G phone in the market that flatters to deceive. Just because it uses a 5G chipset other features have been compromised and we think you have better non-5G options in this price range you should consider buying.

The design looks sleek and the smartphone is very light, weighing just 172g. The 6.4-inch AMOLED screen offers brighter images with good colour saturation. The device lacks a high refresh rate screen, which is seen quite often in most of the smartphones at this price segment. IPX4 and Schott Xensation glass protection are some of the useful features we find on this smartphone. OPPO F21 Pro 5G is a go-to smartphone for those looking for premium design and decent performance.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus brings about some meaningful upgrades. Its 200-megapixel camera brings unparalleled quality to the masses, the 120W charging is a meaningful addition to the feature package, and the Dimensity 1080 is a reasonable refresh in terms of performance. MIUI 13 can be a pain sometimes with its bugs, and theres still a bit of bloat present to take away some of the experience.
