OPPO is gearing up for the launch of the two new A-series smartphones, the OPPO A18 and the OPPO A38. These devices recently received the TDRA certification. Additionally, both these smartphones were spotted on NBTC, Indonesia Telecom, and India’s BIS certification website a few days back. While the launch date of these devices is yet to be revealed by OPPO, the renders and full specifications of the OPPO A38 are now leaked courtesy of the folks at Appuals. The leaked renders show us that the OPPO A38 will feature a dual-camera setup accompanied by an LED flash.

Furthermore, the renders also reveal that the smartphone will have a water-drop shape notch at the centre of the display which will accommodate the selfie camera. The power and volume keys will be located on the right edge of the device. As far as the specifications of the smartphone go, it is expected to feature a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display which could have an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the A38 under the hood there could be a MediaTek’s octa-core Helio G80 processor. The device is tipped to pack up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The OPPO A38 is expected to boot Android 13 out of the box with ColorOS 13 skin on top. Moving onto the imaging department, the A38 might feature a 50MP camera with a f/1.8 aperture. The 50MP sensor could be accompanied by a 2MP secondary lens which could have an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie department on the A38 could be handled by a 5MP sensor which could have an f/2.2 aperture.
The device is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery. Furthermore, the smartphone is also tipped to offer an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. The other key features the OPPO A38 could offer include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and a dual-SIM card slot.
OPPO A38 Pricing (Expected)
As per Appuals, the OPPO A38 will launch in the Black and Gold colour options. The device will be priced at EUR 159 in Europe (roughly Rs 14,200). The smartphone is expected to debut in Europe next month, and it could launch in India and various Asian markets later on.
