Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 series – Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max in India a couple of months back. Several users have been reporting a proximity sensor issue for the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max smartphones. This might be due to the Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor that Xiaomi used on the Redmi Note 10 Pro series devices. For those unaware, the proximity sensor helps to turn off the display when you take the phone near your ear during calls, this prevents the phone from registering accidental touches. A new report by PiunikaWeb suggests that Xiaomi has acknowledged the issue on Mi Community, and a bug fix update will be rolled out in the future.
POCO X3, and POCO F3 users are also facing a similar issue!
Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max aren’t the only devices that are facing the issue. POCO X3, POCO X3 NFC, and POCO F3 users are also reporting similar issues for their devices.
