Redmi Note 12T Pro Officially Confirmed: To Sport MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra and 144Hz LCD Screen

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12T Pro smartphone. The company revealed key specifications ahead of the launch that will happen soon in China.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 series smartphones in India on January 2023. The company later unveiled the products in the Chinese and other global markets. A few months later, they unveiled the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G smartphone, which came with the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. The OEM later unveiled several other smartphones in the series, including Redmi Note 12R Pro and Redmi Note 12S smartphones. A recent report revealed that Xiaomi is working on another smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 series in China. Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the company will launch Redmi Note 12T Pro smartphone soon. The device will be a successor to the Redmi Note 11T Pro smartphone in China. The company reveals the pre-booking of the smartphone will start at 10 AM on May 30.

Redmi Note 12T Pro Tipped Specifications

Xiaomi also shared the teasers revealing the design of the upcoming smartphone. The OEM also confirmed the Redmi Note 12T Pro’s key specifications in its teasers before the official announcement. The rear design of the smartphone is similar to Redmi Note 12 Pro, with a similar camera layout and cut-out. The difference between both smartphones in the rear panel design only lies in the position of the LED flashlight.

The display has slim bezels on all sides with a centred punch-hole cut-out for the front camera. Xiaomi revealed that it would launch the smartphone in three colour options, namely blue, white, and black. The teaser also reveals that the device will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process. The chipset is expected to pair with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in China.

Further, the teaser reveals that Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with an LCD panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The display will have an aspect ratio of 20:5:9 and will offer a flat-screen that supports DC dimming. Recently, the smartphone was listed in GeekBench, revealing the model number, processor, RAM details, and more. The device will bear the model number 23054RA19C, and the chipset pairs with 12GB RAM. The smartphone scores 1224 points in single-core scores and 3921 points in multi-core scores.

The upcoming Redmi Note 12T Pro would run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. There are reports that Xiaomi might launch the smartphone in global markets under different branding. Reports reveal that the device is expected to be the successor of the Redmi K50i and will be launched as Redmi K60i in global markets, including India. Previously, the 3C smartphone listing had confirmed that it would support 67W fast charging tech. Other specifications of the Redmi Note 12T Pro smartphone are currently unknown.
