Redmi Note 8 2021: Specifications, and Features
The Note 8 2021 will feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 2340×1080 pixel resolution. It will have 500nits peak brightness, and will sport Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone will feature a waterdrop notch that will house the front selfie shooter.
Under-the-hood, the smartphone will sport an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, built on a 12nm fabrication process. This is the same processor that powers the last generation Redmi Note 9 smartphone. The graphics duties on the handset will be handled by an integrated Mali-G52 GPU. The listing further reveals that the device will have 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB emmc 5.1 storage. The handset will have a dedicated micro-SD card slot to expand the storage further. The device will boot Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
Moving to the optics, the smartphone will offer a 48MP quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The primary 48MP shooter will get accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The handset will offer a 13MP front shooter for selfies, and video calls.
The Note 8 2021 will pack a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Though, the company will bundle a 22.5W charger in the box. The handset will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C charging port. Connectivity options will include Dual Sim, 4G, 2.4GHz/ 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS, Glonass, Galileo E1, Beidou B1. The smartphone will measure 158.3×75.3×8.35mm, and weigh 190grams. The handset will retail in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black color variants.
