Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung appears to be gearing up for the launch of its upcoming smartwatch, dubbed, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. A little while ago, we were able to spot several Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 models on the FCC certification authority, which revealed some of their specifications. What it did not reveal was the moniker of the smartwatch. Well, we are now able to call one of the model numbers by its name, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, because we have been able to spot the same on the NBTC certification website, which not only confirms its moniker but also reveals some of its key specifications. Take a look at what we know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 so far.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 41mm variant spotted on NBTC
As seen in the NBTC certification image, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (with the model number Samsung SM-R855F) will feature a 41mm display size. The certification further confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will come with support for a SIM card and will feature LTE support. Other than that, the NBTC fails to tell us anything else about the watch.
Nevertheless, the previous certifications have already revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will feature a 41mm display size (the NBTC certification has double-checked it now) and a 45mm display size. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass XD. It will come with 5ATM water-resistance and MIL-STD 810G certification. The certification also tells us that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will be manufactured in Vietnam. The watch will have support for up to 5W of wireless charging.
Other than the cellular variant (SM-R855), the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will also come in the non-cellular variant, which will have the model number SM-R840 and SM-R850.
