Vivo has launched various smartphones under the Y series in the Indian and Chinese markets. A report from Appuals divulges that Vivo is set to debut the Vivo Y28 5G smartphone soon in India. The upcoming smartphone will be the successor to the Vivo Y27 5G smartphone, which launched in July 2023.
The forthcoming device will be an affordable 5G smartphone targeting offline-centric customers in the Indian market. The report from Appuals also divulges the price and renders of the upcoming Vivo Y28 5G smartphone.
Vivo Y28 5G Expected Price in India
Appuals reveals that the Vivo will debut the smartphone at Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The higher variants with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage will be priced at Rs 15,499 and Rs 16,999 respectively. Vivo will also offer a 2.7% discount on smartphones through bank discounts.
The leaked marketing render reveals that the company will offer customers an instant discount of Rs 1,500. Vivo will also provide an EMI option for interested customers, with EMI starting as low as Rs 31 per day. The render divulges that the company will debut the devices in Crystal Purple and Glitter Aqua colour options.
The render also reveals the dual rear camera setup paired with an LED flash on the rear of the device. Vivo will equip the smartphones with two individual camera rings on the rear. The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right side of the device. The upcoming Vivo Y28 5G smartphone recently obtained BIS and Bluetooth SIG certifications.
The certifications hint that Vivo will debut the smartphones soon in the country. Vivo might debut the smartphones with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, built on a 6nm process. The chipset features two Cortex A76 cores at 2.2GHz, four Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and Mali G57 MP2 GPU. The device is also expected to sport a 50MP primary camera and 5000mAh battery.
