Amazon has confirmed that its annual Prime Day sale will return to India in July 2026. This will mark the tenth edition of the shopping event in the country, with the company promising a wide range of deals, new product launches, and entertainment offerings for Prime members.
Prime Day has become one of Amazon's biggest sales events globally, and the 2026 edition is expected to follow the same format. In India, Prime members will get access to discounts across multiple categories, including electronics, kitchen appliances, beauty products, fashion, groceries, and everyday essentials. The company also highlighted that this year's sales will include offers on trending products, popular brands, and newly launched items.
What to expect on Amazon Prime Day
Globally, Prime Day 2026 will take place in June across several markets, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Meanwhile, India, along with Australia, Brazil, and Japan, will host the sale in July.
Amazon also used the announcement to highlight the growth of its Prime service in India. In 2025, the company reported its fastest delivery speeds yet, with more than 55 crore products delivered on the same or next day. This represented a 40 percent year-on-year increase, reflecting improvements in logistics and fulfillment. The company added that Prime members in India saved, on average, more than twice the cost of their annual membership last year, indicating the overall value offered through the service.
Delivery continues to be a key focus for Amazon Prime in India. In select cities, Amazon Now offers delivery within minutes for eligible products. Prime members also benefit from free unlimited same-day delivery on over 10 lakh products and next-day delivery on more than 40 lakh items. Additionally, over 40,000 top-selling products are available for delivery within four hours.
Beyond logistics, Amazon is offering additional shopping benefits to Prime members. On Amazon Now, users can get free delivery on orders above Rs 99, along with cashback of up to Rs 200 on purchases exceeding Rs 1,399. Members also receive early and exclusive access to Prime Day deals, along with benefits across Amazon's ecosystem, including Prime Video and Amazon Music.
Financial incentives are another part of the offering. Prime members using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card can earn unlimited 5 percent cashback on purchases made on Amazon.in, adding to the overall savings during sale periods like Prime Day.
With Prime Day 2026 scheduled for July in India, the event is expected to once again drive significant online shopping activity. For Prime members, it offers a combination of deals, faster delivery options, and additional perks that extend beyond the sale itself.
