RedMagic 9 and 9 Pro Spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance Certification, Expected to Launch Soon

We are aware that Nubia is gearing up for the launch of the Nubia RedMagic 9 series smartphones. The upcoming Nubia RedMagic 9 made an appearance at the Geekbench a couple of weeks back. The Geekbench listing detailed the hardware specifications of the RedMagic 9 smartphone. Now, ahead of the official launch, the Nubia RedMagic 9 series devices have received the Wi-Fi Alliance certification.

RedMagic 9 Series Will Boot Android 13 Out Of The Box

The upcoming Nubia RedMagic 9 series devices are listed on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification with model numbers NX721J and NX769J respectively. We expect these phones to launch with RedMagic 9 and the RedMagic 9 Pro moniker. The listing reveals that both these upcoming smartphones will boot Android 13 out of the box. Additionally, the certification discloses that both the phones will have Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency support. Apart from these details, no other specifications of these devices are revealed by the Wi-Fi Alliance listing.

As mentioned above, the Nubia RedMagic 9 was spotted at Geekbench a few weeks back. The benchmark platform revealed that the device will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The listing also revealed that the smartphone will pack up to 12GB of RAM. The device was spotted on the Geekbench with a model number as NX769J.

At present the other specifications of the upcoming Nubia RedMagic 9 series are not known yet. Additionally, the launch timeline details of the RedMagic 9 lineup remain a mystery at the moment. We shall get to learn more about the RedMagic 9 series as the days pass.

The upcoming RedMagic 9 series smartphones from Nubia will succeed the RedMagic 8 lineup. To recall, the Nubia RedMagic 8 series consists of four devices namely the RedMagic 8 Pro, RedMagic 8 Pro+, the RedMagic 8S Pro, and the 8S Pro+. The prior two were released by Nubia back in December last year, while the latter two were launched in June this year.

To recall, the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro and the RedMagic 8 Pro+ flaunt a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. These devices have an 1116 x 2480 pixels resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 1300 nits brightness. Both smartphones ship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. These devices feature a 50MP triple-camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera. The RedMagic 8 Pro packs a 6,000mAh battery, whereas the 8S Pro equips a 5,000mAh battery.

As for the RedMagic 8S Pro and the 8S Pro+, these smartphones also offer the same specifications as that of the other RedMagic 8 series devices such as a 6.8-inch AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The RedMagic 8S Pro+ is the first smartphone to pack 24GB of RAM. The device features a 50MP triple-camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
