In a recent development, folks at Xiaomiui have spotted the upcoming Redmi 13C smartphone on the GSMA IMEI certification website. The IMEI certification of the smartphone reveals the device’s model number and alleged launch timeline.
The report shared by the publication reveals that the upcoming Redmi 13C smartphone will carry the codename Air. Xiaomi has assigned C3V as the internal model number of the device. The IMEI database reveals the model numbers of the Chinese, global and Indian units of the smartphone. The upcoming smartphone will carry 23124RN87C, 23124RN87G, and 23124RN87I as model numbers in different markets.
The C, G and I in the model numbers represent Chinese, global and Indian units of the forthcoming device. The smartphone is expected to pop-up on other certification websites in the upcoming weeks, which will reveal the specifications of the smartphone. The smartphone can be identified using its model number on other certification websites.
The device’s model number suggests that Xiaomi might launch the smartphone simultaneously in different markets in December 2023. The upcoming Redmi 13C smartphone might even debut before the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones launch in India. However, Xiaomi is unlikely to launch the smartphone in India in December owing to the previous trends.
Xiaomi debuted the Redmi 12C smartphone in March 2023 in India, along with the 4G variant of the Redmi Note 12 smartphone. The renders revealed by our exclusive report reveal that the forthcoming device will continue to feature a waterdrop notch similar to the Redmi 12C smartphone. The device has relatively thin bezels on the sides and top and a thick bezel on the bottom.

Xiaomi is tipped to skip the IR blaster with its upcoming smartphone. The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right side of the smartphone. The bottom side of the device reveals the USB Type-C port, speaker grille and microphone.
