Samsung is expected to launch two new mid-range smartphones in the Galaxy M and F series soon. The Samsung Galaxy F55 and M55 with the model numbers SM-E556B/DS and SM-M556E/DS recently made an appearance on the WiFi Alliance database. Now, in a new development, the upcoming F-series and M-Series handsets appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database.

As per the Bureau of Indian Standards certification, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G has the model number SM-E556B/DS and the Galaxy M55 5G has the model number SM-M556B/DS. While the listing does not reveal anything about the upcoming handset, it does indicate that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G’s and Galaxy M55 5G’s debut is imminent.

While the Samsung Galaxy F55 will arrive as a successor to the Galaxy F54 5G, the Galaxy M55 will succeed the Galaxy M53 (since the Galaxy M54 never made its way to the country). It is worth noting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy F55 5G might be a rebranded Galaxy M55 5G. The Korean tech giant is yet to debut the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G as well. However, the upcoming M-series phone made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmark database recently.

As per the Geekbench benchmark database, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The chipset brings with it an integrated Adreno 644 GPU and X62 5G modem. This is the same silicon that powers the Honor 90 and the Moto Razr 40.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Geekbench listing also revealed the presence of 8GB of RAM under the hood. The upcoming M-series handset, as per the listing, will come pre-loaded with the latest version of Android, that is Android 14. However, as usual, we can expect the company to ship it with OneUI skin on top.
