The South Korean giant is expected to continue the trend with the upcoming device in India.

The upcoming Galaxy M15 5G smartphone will likely resemble the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G smartphone. The company recently launched the Galaxy A15 5G smartphone in Indian market. The Galaxy M series smartphones are toned-down variants of the Galaxy A series smartphones. A report from the Galaxy Club (via Sammobiles) has revealed the features of the upcoming Galaxy M15 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy M15 Expected Specifications

The report reveals that the South Korean giant will equip the Galaxy M15 smartphone with a larger 6000mAh battery. The battery capacity will thus be higher than the 5000mAh battery of the Galaxy A15 smartphone. Samsung is likely to debut the smartphone with 25W wired charging support.

The report also states that Samsung will debut the smartphone with four years of Android updates. Samsung’s four-year update policy will help it stand out from the budget smartphones from Chinese manufacturers. Galaxy Club also adds that Samsung will equip the Galaxy M15 smartphone with specifications similar to the Galaxy A15 smartphone.

The Galaxy A15 smartphone has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with FHD+ resolution. The AMOLED display will sport an Infinity U notch, a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Under the hood, the 4G variant sports the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, built on a 6nm process.

The chipset features two Cortex A76 cores at 2.2GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz and a Mali G57 MP2 GPU. The 5G variant of the device features the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, fabricated on a similar 6nm process. The Dimensity 6100+ chipset features a CPU and GPU identical to the Helio G99 SoC.

The smartphone runs One UI 5 based on Android 13 out of the box. The chipset pairs with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. Samsung equips the smartphone with triple rear cameras and LED flash. The setup comprises a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.

The Infinity U notch of the device houses the 13MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Samsung priced the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy A15 5G at Rs 19,499. The top-end variant with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 22,499. The South Korean giant will likely price the Galaxy M15 5G smartphone below the Galaxy A15 5G in India and international markets.
