Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series next year. The lineup is expected to include three devices such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The new details about these upcoming smartphones have started coming in courtesy of a few certifications. The Galaxy S24 series smartphones were spotted at 3C certification a couple of weeks back. The listing revealed that these smartphones will offer up to 45W fast charging support. Now, in a recent development, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has been spotted on Geekbench. The benchmark listing details the hardware specifications of the device.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Will Boot Android 14 Out Of The Box
The Geekbench listing reveals that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928U) US version will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The result further details that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC has one prime core clocked at 3.30GHz, three performance cores clocked at 3.15GHz and the rest two cores clocked at 2.27GHz and 2.96GHz respectively. Furthermore, the listing reveals that the device will pack up to 8GB of RAM. As for the software, the smartphone will boot Android 14 out of the box with Samsung’s One UI 6 skin on top.
The previous leak suggests that the S24 Ultra will flaunt a 6.8-inch display which could have a WQHD+ resolution. The device is expected to feature a quad-camera setup. The primary camera on the device is rumoured to be of 200MP. While for selfies and video-calling purposes, the smartphone might rely on a 12MP camera. The device is rumoured to ship with a 5,000mAh battery which will support up to 45W fast charging as revealed by the 3C certification.
The renders of the device were also revealed by OnLeaks a few days back. The CAD-based renders disclosed that the S24 Ultra will be flat display which will have a punch-hole cutout at the centre. The device is also expected to incorporate a UWB antenna on the right edge. Dimensions-wise, the smartphone is expected to measure 162.3 x 79 x 8.7mm. As per the past leak, the Galaxy S24 lineup is expected to go official in January 2024, instead of February. The S24 series shall compete with the likes of the OnePlus 12 and Vivo X100 series which is expected to launch during the same time frame.
