What Makes the Samsung Flip 5 and Fold 5 So Popular?

Samsung is the market leader of foldable phones not just in India, but worldwide. Ever since the launch of the original Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has secured the spot of the top-selling foldable device every year. The same has continued till the Fold 4 and Flip 4.

Samsung has become a trusted name when it comes to foldable phones. The company has had more experience in producing folding phones, as compared to other brands. Another factor for Samsung’s success has been its timing. Some companies still consider launching a foldable as a risky move because of high investment costs, but Samsung has managed to be consistent with its foldable launches in India.

Since foldable devices cost a premium, the brand name and reputation becomes important factor while making the purchase. Samsung has established itself as a successful entity when it comes to foldable devices.

Samsung expects the market to grow further as more people explore the potential of folding phones. Currently, the company has sold around 3,00,000 foldable phones in India since the Fold One.

According to Samsung, the Flip Series has recorded 70% more bookings than the Fold Series in Korea. A similar pattern has been witnessed in other markets where the Flip appears to be dominating the fold. It looks like people prefer the Flip because of its super small form factor when it is folded.
