SonyLIV is back with a new installment in its Scam franchise. Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, which was produced by the same people that brought us Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, was released on September 1, 2023. The television show tells us about yet another significant financial fraud that rocked the country. The affair is known as the Telgi Scam or the Stamp Paper Scam. Abdul Karim Telgi, the mastermind of the Indian scam involving 30,000 crores, is portrayed by actor Gagan Dev Riar in the show.

SonyLiv has announced on its official Twitter page that it will be premiering the second season of Scam 2003 on its platform on November 3. It has also announced all the episodes will be dropped on the same day. In the meantime, viewers can watch the first season of the show on the platform.

Official Trailer and Plot of the Scam 2003: The Telgi Story
The film’s creators claim that Scam 2003: The Telgi Story depicts Telgi’s life as a fruit vendor from Khanapur, Karnataka, as well as “his journey to becoming the mastermind behind one of India’s most ingenious scams.”
Based on Sanjay Singh’s book Ek Reporter Ki Diary, Scam 2003: The Telgi Story stars Sana Amin Sheikh, Bhavana Balsaver, Bharat Jadhav, J D Chakravarthy, Bharat Dabholkar, Shashank Ketkar, Talat Aziz, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Vivek Mishra, Hitha Chandrashekhar, Ajay Jadhav, and Dinesh Lal Yadav. Gagan Dev Riar plays the lead character in the series, which is directed by Hansal Mehta and Tushar Hiranandani. Together with Sanjay, renowned author Kiran Yadnyopavit developed the show. Production of “Scam 2003” is handled by Sony’s Studio Next in collaboration with Applause Entertainment.
