Apple iPad Pro 2024 Launched: Price in India, Specifications, and More

At its ‘Let Loose’ event, Apple unveiled the latest iteration of iPad Pro tablets. The latest iPad Pro has two screen sizes—11 and 13 inches. Apple is introducing OLED displays on its Pro tablets for the first time. The Cupertino-based tech giant has also unveiled the Apple Pencil Pro and a new Magic Keyboard for the new Pro models. Apple iPad Pro 2024: Price, Availability

The iPad Pro has storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. It will be available for pre-order starting today and can be purchased next week.

The nano-texture glass is available in 1TB and 2TB storage options only and costs Rs 10,000 more than the regular variants. The Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs 11,900. The Magic Keyboards are priced at Rs 29,900 and Rs 33,900 for 11-inch and 13-inch models, respectively.

Apple iPad Pro 2024: What’s New

The Apple iPad Pro features a new, thinner design, making it the thinnest Apple product ever produced—it’s also thinner than the iPad Nano. This is also the first time Apple has introduced a new chipset on the iPad, as the iPad Pro is powered by the new M4 series. The M4 has a more powerful CPU, GPU and Neural Engine. The last one on the list is geared towards AI.

Apple claims the iPad Pro 2024 models offer a 50% performance boost over the last-gen Pro models (powered by the Apple M2 chip). According to the company, the M4’s Neural Engine is capable of 38 trillion operations per second, which is 60x faster than Apple's first Neural Engine in the A11 Bionic chip.

Apple is using an Ultra RetinaXDR display with Tandom OLED panels for the first time. These panels feature a matte finish, a first for an iPad, and offer up to 1600nits XDR brightness. Apple says the new Pro models offer 20% better thermal performance than the predecessor.

Apple has also unveiled the Apple Pencil Pro, which supports squeeze functionality. It packs a gyroscope and also supports Find My Network. Apple has also unveiled a new Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Pro models. The new Magic Keyboard includes a function shortcut bar with an aluminium base.
