Xiaomi 13T Series Launch Timeline Revealed; Xiaomi 13S Reportedly Skipped

Xiaomi is working on the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series for the global market. The company will launch the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro and 13 Lite 5G at the MWC event on February 26. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to be the only phone that will launch in India on the same day. The Xiaomi 13 series could get an incremental upgrade later this year in China. The company followed a similar strategy last year and launched the Xiaomi 12S series. This time around, there would not be a Xiaomi 13S series. The company is instead said to launch the Xiaomi 13T series.

Xiaomi has obviously not confirmed the launch details of the 13S or T series at the moment. However, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed some details about the same. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the Xiaomi 13T series.


Xiaomi 13T Series Launch Tipped

Xiaomi might launch the 13T series later this year. The company might launch at least two phones in the lineup, namely the 13T and 13T Pro. Tipster Digital Chat Station did not explicitly mention the names of the two phones. However, based on past launches, we can expect them to be called 13T and 13T Pro 5G.

The 13T series will launch later this year. Xiaomi will not launch the 13S series instead, which will be an incremental upgrade over the 13 series. Tipster Digital Chat Station noted that the 13T series will launch as a toned-down version of the flagship 13 series, making it more affordable.

The Xiaomi 13T series is said to launch globally in Q4 of 2023. One of the phones in the lineup might launch in China as the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition. It is unknown if the 13T series will make it to India, considering that the 12T series India launch was skipped.

Tipster Mukul Sharma recently revealed that the 13T series is being tested in various European and Eurasian markets. Unfortunately, none of the tipsters have revealed any details about the specifications of the 13T series.

The company has confirmed that the 13 Pro will launch later this month. The current flagship features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There is a 4820mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with Leica-tuned cameras. The phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch camera sensor. There is a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP front camera.

The device also sports a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution. It has a curved screen with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The device also features a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the display. In addition to this, the screen has 1900 nits of peak brightness.
