The Apple iPad Air 2019 boasts a 10.5-inch TrueTone LED-backlit Multi-Touch Retina display with 2224x1668 pixels resolution at 264ppi, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic and Anti-reflective coating. The tablet is powered by Apple's in-house A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine and M12 coprocessor. The A12 Bionic SoC employs real-time machine learning to enable Augmented Reality (AR) and enhance the overall experience on the device. It packs 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The Apple iPad Air 2019 is compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil and also supports Touch ID fingerprint reader.

The Apple iPad Air 2019 has an 8MP rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, 1080p HD video-recording, Slo-mo video recording (up to 120 fps), 3x video zoom, and Live Photos. The Apple iPad Air 2019 is backed by a 30.2Wh rechargeable battery, which is touted to deliver 10 hours of backup on WiFi. The tablet also includes Stereo speakers for solid audio performance. It ships with iOS 12 on the software front laced with accessibility features such as VoiceOver, Switch Control, AssistiveTouch, Speak Screen, and more.
