GIGABYTE has announced the availability of its new AORUS GeForce RTX 50 INFINITY Series graphics cards, bringing the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 into the new lineup. The series combines high-performance graphics hardware with a redesigned cooling system and a cleaner PC-building aesthetic.
The biggest highlight is GIGABYTE's WINDFORCE HYPERBURST cooling system, which uses a double flow-through design to improve airflow through the graphics card. The cooling setup is paired with GIGABYTE's patented Hawk fans and an intelligent Overdrive Fan that activates automatically during intensive workloads.
According to GIGABYTE, the Hawk fans can increase air pressure by up to 53.6% and air volume by up to 12.5%. The centrally positioned Overdrive Fan adds extra airflow when the GPU is under heavy load, while the company says the system is designed to maintain stable performance without significantly increasing noise levels.
AORUS RTX 50 INFINITY Gets Hidden Power Connector
GIGABYTE has also focused on cable management with the INFINITY series. The power connector has been moved to the rear side of the graphics card, allowing compatible cables to be routed behind the PC chassis.
A magnetic cover plate hides the connector for a cleaner finish, while GIGABYTE's RGB Halo and outer light ring provide customisable lighting that can be synchronised with compatible hardware.
The combination of thermal engineering, airflow management, hidden connectivity, and RGB lighting is aimed at PC enthusiasts who want both high-end graphics performance and a cleaner-looking build.
Alongside the standard INFINITY models, GIGABYTE has introduced the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD. It brings wood-grain elements to the graphics card and is designed to complement GIGABYTE's WOOD-themed motherboard lineup.
The company says the design uses the warmth and texture of wood-inspired elements to create a more distinctive, nature-inspired PC aesthetic.
GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 50 INFINITY Series Availability
The AORUS GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 INFINITY graphics cards are now part of the company's new lineup. GIGABYTE has directed customers to local retailers and e-tailers for product availability.
The AORUS INFINITY series is less about changing the underlying RTX 50-series GPU lineup and more about reworking cooling and the overall PC-building experience.
The hidden rear power connector is arguably the most interesting design change, especially for clean-looking builds, while the WINDFORCE HYPERBURST system takes care of the thermal side. The RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD is the more unusual addition, giving enthusiasts an option that stands out from the usual all-black gaming hardware.
With pricing varying significantly across RTX 50-series GPUs, the final value proposition will ultimately depend on the retail pricing of these specific AORUS models.
