Gigabyte Launches First Made in India Gaming Laptop with AMD Ryzen Processors

Gigabyte has introduced its first Made in India gaming laptop, the Gigabyte Gaming A16, becoming the latest PC brand to localise production for the Indian market. The laptop is being manufactured in partnership with Dixon Technologies, one of India’s largest electronics manufacturers, and is aimed at gamers, creators, students and professionals.

The company says the Gaming A16 is powered by AMD Ryzen processors and is designed to deliver gaming performance alongside AI-ready computing capabilities. While Gigabyte has yet to disclose detailed hardware specifications in its announcement, it states that the locally assembled models are built to the same engineering and quality standards as its global products.

According to Gigabyte, senior executives from its global headquarters worked with Dixon Technologies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure the laptops meet the company’s performance, reliability and quality benchmarks. The move forms part of Gigabyte’s broader strategy to expand its presence in India while strengthening local manufacturing capabilities.

Gigabyte also says the initiative supports India’s ambitions to become a global manufacturing hub by improving supply chain resilience and enabling faster access to locally produced gaming hardware. The company added that it plans to continue investing in local manufacturing and bring additional gaming products to the Indian market in the future.

The Gigabyte Gaming A16 is available in India from today through the company’s authorised sales channels, although pricing has not yet been announced.
