OnePlus is preparing to expand its mid-range smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite. Ahead of the official debut, the company has revealed key specifications of the Nord CE 6, giving a clearer picture of what to expect from the upcoming device.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 is scheduled to launch in India on May 7 at 12 pm IST. Pricing and availability details will be announced at the event. The smartphone will be offered in three colour options – Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black. Alongside it, OnePlus is also expected to introduce the Nord CE 6 Lite, marking the return of the Lite variant after a gap of two years.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 Specifications
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 will feature a 1.5K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The company claims that the panel will support up to 144fps gaming in select titles, aiming to deliver a smoother visual experience for gaming and everyday use.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. OnePlus has also included a dedicated Touch Reflex chip, which enables a touch sampling rate of up to 3200Hz. This combination is expected to improve responsiveness, particularly in fast-paced gaming scenarios.
For photography, the Nord CE 6 will come with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera equipped with dual-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS). On the front, the smartphone will feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus, similar to the setup seen on the OnePlus Nord 6.
The device supports 4K video recording on both the rear and front cameras. OnePlus is also introducing a range of AI-powered imaging tools, including AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Detail Boost, AI Perfect Shot, and AI Reframe. Additional features such as 4K Motion Photos, Circle to Search, and Gemini Live are also included.
One of the standout features of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is its large 8,000mAh battery. The device will support wired fast charging as well as 27W reverse charging, allowing it to power other devices when needed.
In terms of durability, the smartphone is designed to handle demanding conditions. It comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification. This combination suggests a focus on improved reliability and protection.
The Nord CE 6 will run on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The software will include OnePlus' suite of AI-driven features aimed at improving photography, usability, and overall performance.
For audio, the device will feature dual stereo speakers with support for up to 300 percent "Ultra Volume," which is expected to enhance media consumption and call clarity in noisy environments.
