Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of the Vivo S2 FE in India. The smartphone will be unveiled on October 6 at 12 pm IST, with Vivo also revealing its design and Flipkart availability ahead of the launch. The handset will arrive alongside the Vivo V80, expanding Vivo’s smartphone portfolio in the Indian market.
The launch date has been confirmed through a dedicated Flipkart microsite, which is already live. Promotional material for the smartphone also carries the October 6 launch date and 12 pm timing. The images show the Vivo S2 FE in a green finish and highlight OriginOS branding.
Vivo S2 FE design officially revealed
The Flipkart listing gives the first official look at the rear design of the Vivo S2 FE. The phone features a flat rear panel with a green finish and a rounded-square camera module positioned in the top-left corner.
The camera island houses two rear cameras arranged vertically, accompanied by an LED flash. The handset also appears to feature a flat side frame, with the power button and volume controls located on the right side. The left side appears to be largely clean. According to the source, this design differs noticeably from the regular Vivo S2.
The promotional images also show the phone with a distinctive lighting pattern across the rear panel, while the launch material uses the tagline “My New Story.” A second promotional image carries Flipkart branding alongside OriginOS, further confirming the phone’s association with the e-commerce platform.
While Flipkart has confirmed the smartphone’s availability, an Amazon India microsite has also reportedly appeared ahead of the launch. However, the Flipkart page is currently the one that explicitly confirms the October 6 launch date and availability details.
Vivo S2 FE expected specifications.
Vivo has not yet revealed the complete specifications or official price of the S2 FE. However, previous leaks point to a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
For cameras, the leaked specifications suggest a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary rear camera accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera is also expected.
The battery could be one of the major highlights of the Vivo S2 FE. The handset is tipped to feature a 10,000mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging. It could also carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. A 3,800-square-millimetre VC cooling system has also been tipped.
The Vivo S2 FE is expected to be priced below Rs. 40,000 in India, although the final price will be announced at launch. With the October 6 date now confirmed, Vivo is expected to reveal the remaining specifications, pricing, and sale details during the launch event.
