vivo has announced the sale of its latest T-series smartphone, the vivo T5, in India. The phone combines the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset with a large 7050mAh battery, a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display, and IP68/IP69 protection.

The vivo T5 is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor paired with MediaTek's NPU. vivo claims up to 233% faster on-device AI computing compared with its stated benchmark, while the phone also features a 3,800mm² vapour chamber as part of its cooling system. The smartphone supports up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. vivo is promising three generations of Android upgrades and five years of security updates. The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 449 PPI and up to 2,000 nits HBM brightness. It also supports HDR10+ and has a claimed 93.8% screen-to-body ratio.
The vivo T5 has a slim 7.99mm body and weighs 199 grams. It also gets dual stereo speakers and support for up to 120fps gaming through Ultra Game Mode. One of the biggest highlights is the 7050mAh battery, which vivo claims can maintain its battery health for up to five years or 1,600 cycles under its specified conditions. The phone supports 44W FlashCharge.
vivo claims the T5 can reach 44% charge in 30 minutes and 17% in 10 minutes from a 1% starting point. For photography, the vivo T5 gets a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There is a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The phone supports 4K video recording from both the front and rear cameras, along with features such as Multifocal Portrait and AI Erase 2.0.
The vivo T5 also focuses on durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. It supports Wet-Hand Touch and One-Tap Water Ejection, while vivo says the phone has undergone six MIL-STD-810H durability tests.
vivo T5 Price in India and Offers
The vivo T5 starts at Rs 34,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs 39,999, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively. The vivo T5 is available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green and comes in four RAM and storage configurations.
For the launch, buyers can get up to Rs 4,000 instant discount on select HDFC, SBI and Axis Bank cards, along with six months of no-cost EMI. After applying the offers, the effective prices start at Rs 31,499 for the base variant and go up to Rs 45,999 for the top-end model.
