Moto Pad 70 Pro: Here’s everything you need to know

Motorola is preparing to expand its tablet lineup in India with the launch of the Moto Pad 70 Pro on June 27. The upcoming Android tablet aims to compete in the premium segment by combining flagship-grade performance, a large high-resolution display, bundled productivity accessories, and long-term software support.

Ahead of the launch, Motorola has revealed most of the tablet’s specifications through its Flipkart microsite, giving buyers a clear picture of what to expect.

The Moto Pad 70 Pro appears to be positioned as an all-around device for entertainment, gaming, studying, and productivity, making it a direct rival to premium Android tablets from Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus.

Moto Pad 70 Pro Expected Specifications

One of the biggest highlights of the Moto Pad 70 Pro is its 13-inch LCD. The panel offers a sharp 3.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, 99 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and up to 800 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode. Together, these specifications should deliver an excellent experience for watching movies, gaming, and creative work.

Powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM. Although Motorola has not confirmed the memory variants yet, the chipset places the Moto Pad 70 Pro well above most mid-range Android tablets currently available.

Motorola also claims the tablet can support gaming at up to 120fps in compatible titles, making it an attractive option for mobile gamers.

Keeping the device running is a large 10,200mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Interestingly, Motorola is including a 68W charger in the retail box, a feature that has become increasingly uncommon in premium devices.

On the software front, the Moto Pad 70 Pro will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has committed to providing two years of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, ensuring the tablet remains secure and up to date for years.

The Moto Pad 70 Pro comes equipped with a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL and supports Dolby Atmos, promising an immersive audio experience for movies, games, and music.

For connectivity, the tablet supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and expandable storage via a microSD card of up to 2TB, allowing users to carry large media libraries and work files without worrying about storage limitations.

One of the biggest value additions is the inclusion of the Moto Pen Pro stylus in the box. Select variants of the tablet will also bundle a keyboard accessory, allowing users to convert the device into a portable workstation for note-taking, document editing, sketching, and light productivity tasks.

These bundled accessories could help the Moto Pad 70 Pro stand out in a market where many manufacturers sell styluses and keyboards separately.

The launch also reflects a broader trend in the Android tablet market. Companies are increasingly targeting users who want a single device capable of handling entertainment, creative work, and productivity while competing with Apple’s iPad lineup and even entry-level laptops.

Moto Pad 70 Pro Expected Pricing

Pricing has not yet been announced, but it will likely determine how competitive the Moto Pad 70 Pro becomes. If Motorola manages to price the tablet aggressively, it could emerge as one of the strongest premium Android tablet options in India, especially for users looking for flagship performance, a large display, and bundled accessories without paying extra.
