Xiaomi has officially teased the launch of its upcoming Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED Series in India, with the new lineup set to debut on June 4, 2026. The company is positioning the series around Mini LED display technology and its new Quantum MagiQ processing engine, promising deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and improved overall picture detail for movies and entertainment content.
Mini LED Technology Takes Centre Stage
The Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED Series will use Mini LED backlighting technology, which relies on significantly smaller LED zones behind the display panel for more precise local dimming control compared to traditional LED TVs.
In practical terms, this should allow the TVs to produce darker black levels in shadow-heavy scenes while simultaneously maintaining higher brightness in highlights without excessive blooming. Mini LED panels have increasingly become the preferred middle ground between standard LED TVs and much more expensive OLED displays, especially in the premium mid-range television segment.
Xiaomi says the lineup will deliver "deeper blacks and brighter whites," while the company's Quantum MagiQ processing is expected to handle contrast optimisation, colour enhancement, and image detail processing across different content formats.
Xiaomi Yet to Reveal Full Specifications
At the moment, Xiaomi has not disclosed detailed specifications for the FX Mini LED Series. Information regarding screen sizes, refresh rates, peak brightness figures, audio hardware, HDMI specifications, gaming features, or smart TV platform integrations remains under wraps.
Those details are expected to be revealed during the official launch event on June 4.
The teaser itself clearly positions the FX Mini LED Series as a more premium offering focused heavily on immersive entertainment and cinematic picture quality, likely targeting buyers considering higher-end QLED and Mini LED televisions from brands like TCL, Hisense, Samsung, and Sony.
Mini LED Segment Is Becoming Increasingly Competitive
The Indian smart TV market has become noticeably more aggressive around Mini LED technology over the past year, especially as brands attempt to bridge the gap between traditional LED and OLED televisions without pushing pricing too high.
Xiaomi entering this segment more aggressively with the FX Mini LED Series makes sense strategically, particularly as consumers increasingly prioritise HDR performance, gaming support, and larger-screen home entertainment setups. The success of the lineup will likely depend heavily on pricing. Mini LED TVs still command a noticeable premium over standard QLED televisions, and Xiaomi's pricing strategy has historically been one of its biggest strengths in India's television market.
