Realme has announced the first sale of the realme Watch S5 in India, starting today, June 5, at 12 PM. The smartwatch is available at an introductory price of Rs. 7,499, down from its regular price of Rs. 7,999 as part of a limited-period launch offer. The sale will run until June 7 across Flipkart, realme.com, and mainline retail stores.
1.43-Inch AMOLED Display and Independent GPS
The realme Watch S5 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,500 nits peak brightness, aimed at improving visibility in outdoor conditions. The smartwatch also supports independent GPS tracking and compatibility with five global satellite navigation systems, allowing users to track outdoor activities without relying on a connected smartphone.
Realme says the Watch S5 can deliver up to 20 days of battery life on a single charge, positioning it among the longer-lasting smartwatches in its price segment. The device also supports Bluetooth calling and customizable watch faces for everyday convenience.
Supports Over 110 Sports Modes and Health Tracking Features
The Watch S5 comes with support for more than 110 sports modes and includes a range of health monitoring tools such as heart rate tracking, blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring, sleep analysis, stress tracking, and noise monitoring. Realme has also included a Single Tap Health Measurement feature that allows users to quickly access key health metrics from one screen.
For durability, the smartwatch carries a 5ATM water-resistance rating and features what the company describes as a military-grade build. It is available in Sand White and Rock Grey colour options.
Realme Targets the Competitive Mid-Range Smartwatch Segment
With an effective launch price of Rs. 7,499, the realme Watch S5 enters one of India's most competitive smartwatch categories, where buyers increasingly expect AMOLED displays, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, and comprehensive health tracking as standard features.
The combination of a bright AMOLED panel, independent GPS, and a claimed 20-day battery life gives the Watch S5 a balanced feature set on paper. Battery life remains one of the biggest challenges for smartwatches with always-on displays and advanced tracking capabilities, making Realme's endurance claims one of the key aspects to watch in real-world usage.
The smartwatch market has become increasingly crowded with offerings from Noise, boAt, Amazfit, Xiaomi, and Realme itself. The Watch S5's success will likely depend less on its headline specifications and more on how well its software experience, fitness tracking accuracy, and battery performance hold up during everyday use.
