Haier India has introduced the Gravity AI Series, its most advanced AI-enabled air conditioner lineup yet, signalling a strong push toward intelligent cooling in a market that is rapidly shifting to smart, automated appliances. The new models, unveiled at the company's Greater Noida facility, arrive at a time when brands are racing to differentiate using AI-led comfort, energy optimisation and self-maintenance systems.
A New Phase in AI-Led Cooling
The Gravity AI Series is anchored in Haier's new AI-AtmoX engine, which powers three user-facing pillars: AI for savings, AI for comfort and AI for service. The idea is to simplify ownership by taking the day-to-day decisions away from the user and allowing the AC to respond dynamically to weather, indoor conditions and personal usage patterns. With features like AI Climate Control 2.0, Dynamic Environmental Adaptation and AI Target Cooling, the AC studies real-world behaviour rather than relying only on modes or presets.
What sets the series apart is its focus on predictive actions. AI Pre-Cooling uses a 100-meter geofence to cool the room before the user arrives, while multi-level AI ECO makes continuous micro-adjustments based on temperature gaps. For busy households, this reduces the need to manually toggle settings or worry about overspending on electricity.
One of the standout additions is AI ODU Cyclone Clean, India's first fully automatic outdoor unit cleaning system. Dust-heavy conditions have always reduced efficiency and led to higher servicing costs, and Haier's reverse-airflow system attempts to address this by blowing off debris moments after shutdown. Combined with indoor AI Frost Self Clean every 240 hours, the Gravity AI Series aims to cut down on maintenance and preserve long-term performance.
Manufacturing Scale and Market Ambitions
The launch arrives as Haier deepens its "Made in India, Made for India" roadmap. The company has expanded its AC manufacturing ecosystem with a new injection moulding facility and Phase 2 of its Greater Noida plant, increasing future production capacity to 4 million units annually by 2027. This expansion supports localisation and supply chain agility, which has become a critical competitive factor in India's fast-growing AC market. Haier currently holds an 8 percent share and is targeting 17 percent by 2030.
Why This Launch Matters for Buyers
For consumers planning an upgrade in the pre-summer window, this launch adds pressure on rival brands to innovate around AI-led comfort, energy monitoring dashboards and autonomous cleaning. Haier's graphical electricity tracking, cost display, monthly expense updates and customisable energy goals may appeal to buyers who want to understand and control consumption more transparently.
Meanwhile, instant cooling in 10 seconds speaks to metros and tier-two cities dealing with harsher summers. These upgrades indicate that high-end ACs in 2025 are shifting from "smart controls" to "self-thinking systems," bringing premium features into the mainstream faster.
The Haier Gravity AI Series starts at INR 49,990 and will be available across online and offline channels. Four colour variants are being offered across models: Morning Mist, Moon Stone Grey, Midnight Dream and White.
This launch strengthens Haier's position in India's premium AC segment and signals a clear trend for 2026: intelligence, automation and minimal maintenance are now core selling points, not add-ons. For users who value hands-free operation, detailed energy insights and cleaner indoor air without frequent servicing, the Gravity AI Series presents a strong case. Buyers looking at Republic Day or early-summer sales may find this lineup worth shortlisting as more brands respond with their own AI-focused models.
