Samsung has expanded its air conditioner portfolio in India with the launch of the 2026 Bespoke AI WindFree lineup. The new range focuses on intelligent cooling, energy optimisation, and smart home integration, with Samsung claiming that the new models can reduce power consumption by up to 30 percent.
After a prolonged lull in the air conditioner category, Samsung returned to the AC market in India last year and has since been working to rebuild its presence in the segment. The Bespoke AI WindFree lineup appears to be part of that renewed push, combining Samsung's cooling technologies with AI-based automation and connected home features.
AI Energy Optimisation
One of the key highlights of the new lineup is AI Energy Mode, which analyses room conditions, user preferences, and usage patterns to optimise compressor operation and cooling intensity. The system automatically adjusts performance levels to maintain comfortable temperatures while reducing overall electricity consumption.
The feature works alongside Samsung's AI Digital Inverter Control, which continuously monitors the AC's operating status and adjusts the compressor frequency in real time. The goal is to prevent unnecessary operation, improve energy efficiency, and maintain stable cooling performance.
Samsung has also made changes at the hardware level. The new models use a BLDC motor with neodymium magnets that are designed to enable faster and more powerful rotation. The twin compressor design helps reduce vibration compared to traditional single compressor systems, while Samsung's Twin Muffler is designed to reduce refrigerant flow noise and improve acoustic comfort.
WindFree Cooling and Smart Features
Samsung's WindFree Cooling technology remains central to the new lineup. Instead of blasting cold air directly into the room, the system disperses air through around 23,000 micro air holes. This helps create a more evenly cooled environment while reducing cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.
The ACs also integrate with Samsung's SmartThings ecosystem. Through the SmartThings app, users can remotely adjust temperature settings, activate AI Energy Mode, monitor energy consumption patterns, and receive maintenance alerts through SmartThings Home Care.
The system also includes features such as Welcome and Away Care. These can detect when users are approaching home and remind them to turn on the air conditioner. If the AC is left running when users leave the house, the system can send a notification so that it can be switched off remotely.
Price and Availability
Samsung's Bespoke AI WindFree range includes 23 models and will be available across retail stores and online platforms in India. Prices for the lineup start at ₹32,490.
