As winter smog begins to settle across northern India, Dyson has expanded its air purifier portfolio with two new models, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 and Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx. Both products combine advanced purification, intelligent temperature control, and app-driven convenience, catering to urban households that now view clean indoor air as an essential part of everyday health.
The Indian air purifier market reached an estimated US$507.5 million in 2024, and is projected to grow to US$1.81 billion by 2033 at a CAGR of 14.06% between 2025 and 2033. In the four major cities of Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata, roughly 75% of the market demand is concentrated, with Delhi NCR alone contributing nearly 40% of demand because of persistent air-quality challenges in the region.
Built for India’s Air Challenges
The timing of this launch is significant. India’s AQI levels are already hovering around the “poor” and “very poor” categories in several metros, and pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and VOCs are seeping into homes at alarming levels. Dyson’s new Hot+Cool purifiers directly address these urban air challenges with fully sealed HEPA filtration systems and advanced gas-capture capabilities.
The HP2 De-NOx (HP12) introduces a new K-Carbon filter that captures up to 50 percent more nitrogen dioxide compared to standard carbon filters, while also destroying formaldehyde. The HP1 continues Dyson’s tested formula of HEPA H13 and activated carbon filtration to trap ultrafine particles, odours, and household gases. Both models are powered by Air Multiplier technology, delivering over 290 litres of purified air per second, along with 350-degree oscillation for complete room coverage.
Heating, Cooling, and Smart Monitoring
Dyson’s dual-purpose purifiers can automatically maintain a chosen temperature during the winter and act as powerful coolers when it gets warmer. Built-in sensors continuously detect pollutants, allergens, and gases, responding in real time to maintain clean, breathable air. Users can monitor indoor air quality and temperature through the integrated LCD display or the MyDyson app, which also supports voice commands via Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 is priced at ₹56,900, while the Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx (HP12) costs ₹68,900. Both are available at Dyson Demo stores and online at Dyson.in.
Market Perspective

Based on specifications and early impressions, the HP2 De-NOx emerges as the more future-ready choice, thanks to its ability to neutralise harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide and formaldehyde, which are increasingly present in city homes. The HP1, on the other hand, continues to offer a reliable combination of purification and climate control for mid-sized bedrooms and family spaces.

Buyers seeking a long-term, low-maintenance solution with heating and cooling built in will find these Dyson models appealing despite their premium pricing. For those prioritising value, Philips and Honeywell still offer capable purifiers with app connectivity and HEPA filtration in the ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 range. Sharp remains a solid choice for larger homes, with its Plasmacluster technology providing effective particle and odour control. However, none of these rivals currently provides the level of sealed engineering, intelligent airflow, and temperature management that Dyson does. For consumers who want a single machine to purify, heat, and cool with precision, the HP12 represents one of the most refined options currently available in India.
