Dyson has launched the Airsmooth, its first dedicated hot air brush designed to simplify everyday hair styling. The device combines Dyson's airflow technology with PivotFlex and Anti-snag bristles, aiming to dry, smooth and lift hair while reducing tangling and excessive heat exposure.

The Airsmooth's main highlight is its patented dual-bristle system, which is designed to guide hair through the brush rather than pull or snag it. Dyson says traditional hot air brushes can contribute to mechanical damage, dryness and breakage due to excessive heat and snag-prone bristles. The PivotFlex bristles, meanwhile, use an open-base design to diffuse and control high-pressure airflow. Dyson has paired the bristle system with intelligent heat control technology, which measures temperature 100 times per second. The company says this helps maintain a more controlled styling experience while protecting the integrity of natural curl patterns and hair textures over time. The focus here is less on extreme heat and more on combining airflow, controlled tension and temperature management to achieve a smoother finish. The Airsmooth has been designed to be lightweight and ergonomic for use across different hair lengths. It also features universal voltage, making it suitable for travel, including weekends away and holidays.
