V-Guard has launched the Aurina RO Water Purifier series in India featuring the company's proprietary DuoGuard Filter Technology, a dual-cartridge system designed to integrate pre-filtration into a compact single-unit setup. The new purifier lineup focuses on addressing common household challenges such as limited kitchen space, fluctuating water supply, and long-term hygiene requirements.
V-Guard DuoGuard Technology Integrates Pre-Filtration Into Single Unit
At the centre of the Aurina lineup is V-Guard's DuoGuard Filter Technology, which combines pre-filtration into a compact dual-cartridge design. According to the company, the system includes an anti-microbial activated carbon layer designed to inhibit microbial growth continuously while also managing pressure variations during low or inconsistent water supply conditions.
V-Guard says the integrated design removes the need for external pre-filters, allowing cleaner installation without additional wall drilling while also optimising kitchen space. The company also claims the design can help reduce approximately 3.8kg of plastic waste over four years per unit. The purifier additionally includes a Mineral Health Charger intended to restore essential minerals after purification for improved taste and healthier drinking water.
Aurina Series Claims Up to 40 Percent Water Recovery
V-Guard says the Aurina series ensures all water undergoes RO purification while adhering to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines. The company claims the purifier offers up to 40 percent water recovery even at TDS levels of up to 2,000 PPM, which could help households save approximately 12.5 litres of water daily.
The Aurina series is available in four variants: V-Guard Aurina 2X RO + UV + UF + MHC, V-Guard Aurina 2X RO + UF + MHC, V-Guard Aurina RO + UF + MHC, and V-Guard Aurina RO + UV + UF + MHC. Priced between Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 12,499, the new water purifiers can be purchased through leading e-commerce platforms and the official V-Guard website. All four models come with a 7-litre storage capacity and feature multi-stage purification systems.
Warranty and Availability
V-Guard says the Aurina series comes with a 2-year unconditional warranty covering filters, RO membrane, and electrical components. The company also highlighted support through its expanding pan-India after-sales service network.
What V-Guard Appears to Be Targeting
With Aurina, V-Guard appears to be focusing on practical installation and maintenance pain points rather than competing purely on purification-stage numbers or aggressive specifications. The elimination of external pre-filters and the compact integrated design could appeal to urban households dealing with smaller kitchens and cluttered appliance setups.
The water recovery claims and anti-microbial filtration layer also suggest the company is positioning Aurina around long-term efficiency and hygiene, two areas that have become increasingly important in India's growing RO purifier market.
