Asus ROG Phone 5 price in India has been announced. The Taiwan-based tech giant unveiled the gaming smartphone globally on March 10. Alongside, the company has also announced the ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate limited edition phones in India. The Asus ROG Phone 5 series packs top of the line hardware. The three devices come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. The phones also sport a tall 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support. Asus ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate launched in India

Asus has unveiled the ROG Phone 5 series in India. The company has launched the Asus ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. 

Asus ROG Phone 5 series price in India

The standard ROG Phone 5 price is set at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. There is also a 12GB + 256GB model priced at Rs 57,999. It comes in Phantom Black,  Storm White colours

The ROG Phone 5 Pro has been launched for Rs 69,999 for the sole 16GB + 512GB storage option. It comes in a single Phantom Black colour.

Lastly, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate price in India is set at Rs 79,999. Users get 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory. It comes in a Storm White colour option.

Asus ROG Phone 5 series specifications 

All three ROG Phone 5 series devices share the same screen, processor, and camera unit. The main difference between the three phones lies in the RAM, storage and the ROG Vision display. 

Display and Design

The phones feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support. The screen has a touch sampling rate of 300Hz and 24.3ms of touch latency. It comes with a peak brightness of 1200 nits and 111 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The phones also come with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and rear panel.

The standard Asus ROG Phone 5 comes with a ROG logo with RGB lighting on the back. The ROG Phone 5 Pro has a PMOLED ROG Vision display, whereas the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate sports a monochrome PAMOLED ROG Vision display on the back.

All three phones weigh 238 grams and are 10.29mm thick. The ROG Phone 5 series also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Performance 

Under the hood, the ROG Phone 5 series packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and Adreno 660GPU for graphics. The standard ROG Phone 5 comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Pro model has 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Lastly, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has 18GB RAM and 512GB storage.

For thermal management, the ROG Phone 5 series comes with a new GameCool 5 cooling system. It has a new arrangement to ensure that the main heat-generating spots are kept away from your fingers while gaming. This new arrangement also means that the heat generated by the centred CPU can be evenly transferred to all edges and corners of the chassis simultaneously for higher thermal efficiency.

Additionally, Asus has also launched the AeroActive Cooler 5 that can drop the CPU temperature by up to 10-degrees.

The phones pack a massive 6000 mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

Camera

The ROG Phone 5 series features a triple-camera setup. It has a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera. There is also a 13MP 125-degree Ultra-wide angle camera with real-time distortion correction. Lastly, the phone has a 5MP macro camera. For selfies, you get a 24MP front camera sensor.

Software

ROG Phone 5 series boots on Android 11 out of the box. Users have the choice to choose between Zen UI and the gaming-focused ROG UI while setting up the device.

Accessories

Much like the predecessors, the Asus ROG Phone 5 series comes with support for a bunch of accessories. These include the Kunai 3 GamePad, ROG Lighting Armor Case, AeroActive Cooler 5, TwinView Dock 3, ROG clip, and a Professional Dock.
