ASUS ROG Phone 7 Receives NBTC Certification Ahead Of April 13 Launch

ASUS is gearing up to launch the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series smartphones on April 13. Ahead of the launch, we have been learning new details of the ROG Phone 7 lineup through several certifications and other leaks. A few days back, the ROG Phone 7 was spotted at Geekbench and 3C certification. Now, in a recent development, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 has availed the NBTC certification ahead of the official launch.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Receives NBTC Certification

As per the NBTC certification, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 possesses model number as ASUS_AI2205_C. Additionally, the certification confirms the moniker as ROG Phone 7. Apart from revealing the model number and moniker, the NBTC certification doesn’t disclose any specifications of the device. If the past leaks are to be considered, the device will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate support. The device will have a HDR10+ support and a 720Hz touch sampling rate.

Powering the device under the hood there will be an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device is expected to pack up to 16GB of RAM. On the software side of things, the ROG Phone 7 is expected to boot Android 13 out of the box. As for the optics purpose, the device is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP (Sony IMX766 sensor) camera.

Accompanying the 50MP lens there could be a 13MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP macro sensors. For the selfies and video-calling purpose, the smartphone might rely on a 13MP camera. The handset is expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery which could offer 65W fast charging support. In a piece of related news, recently, the ROG Phone 7 live images were leaked via NCC certification. The NCC certification revealed that the device will feature a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and dual speakers.
