Boat, one of India’s top brands when it comes to the true wireless earbuds market has unveiled yet another budget TWS in the country. The brand has unveiled Boat Airdopes 161 which is priced under Rs 1,000 and offers features like a 10mm driver, up to 17 hours battery life, fast charging, Type-C port, an IPX5 rating. The Boat Airdopes 161 are priced at Rs 999 and they will go on sale starting January 5 on Amazon as well as Flipkart. The Airdopes 161 are available in three colour options 一 Pebble Black, Cool Sapphire, and Pearl White.

The Boat Airdopes 161 harnesses Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity and they are powered by a 10mm driver with thumping bass tuning. These TWS also offer BoAt’s proprietary IWP tech, which is said to offer seamless connection with the paired device as soon as the TWS are taken out from the case. These are in-ear style designed buds with stem and inter-changeable eartips to get the best fit possible. 
On a single charge, the Airdopes 161 will offer up to 17 hours of playback. The earbuds are rated to last up to 6 hours on a single charge and an additional 11 hours is offered by the included case. For charging, the Boat Airdopes 161 comes with a Type-C charging port at the bottom. A quick 10 minutes of charge will offer 3 hours of music playback. A full charge will take a little over 2 hours.
In terms of controls, the Airdopes 161 offers touch controls for music playback like pause, play, skip, etc, pick or reject calls, and activate voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Siri. With one-touch voice assistant activation, you can ask and get the latest news, updates on cricket scores, weather updates, and more. Lastly, the Airdopes 161 are also IPX5 water-resistant which means it is safe to wear them during workouts and gym sessions.
