boAt has been leading its position in the Indian TWS market for a long time. The recent Counterpoint Report for Q2 2023 revealed that boAt continues to dominate the segment with 40.1% market share. The homegrown brand has just launched boAt Airdopes Flex 454 ANC and boAt Airdopes 161 ANC in India. Priced below Rs 2,000, they are aimed at the affordable segment.
It’s worth noting that boAt has been on a launch spree. It recently launched boAt Enigma series smartwatches, which include the boAt Enigma X500, Enigma X600, Enigma Z30, and Enigma R32 smartwatches in India. The company also unveiled boAt Airdopes Immortal 161, boAt Airdopes 141, and boAt Rockerz 245 V2 Pro earlier. boAt Airdopes Flex 454 ANC: Pricing, Availability, Features, and Specifications
The boAt Airdopes Flex 454 ANC are available in Gunmetal Black and Zinc White colour options. The company has kept the introductory pricing of the TWS at Rs 1,999. The product will go on sale through Amazon and Flipkart from 12 PM, September 20. boAt has equipped the TWS with 10mm drivers, which features boAt Signature Sound technology.
The homegrown brand is also offering Adaptive EQ modes, which offer a better listening experience. The Flex 454 ANC from boAt features Bluetooth 5.3 and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) up to 32db. The TWS sports a Quad mic with ENx Technology for improved call quality. boAt claims that its latest TWS offers a battery backup of up to 45 hours with ANC.
The battery backup will further be increased to 60 hours without using ANC. The company claims that 10 minutes of charging will offer 240 minutes of playback. The device also features in-ear detection, ambient mode, and BEAST mode with a low latency of 60ms. boAt also equips the TWS with multi-device connectivity.
boAt Airdopes 161 ANC: Pricing, Availability, Features, and Specifications
In contrast, the boAt Airdopes 161 ANC can be purchased in Black, White, or Green colour options. boAt has launched the TWS at an introductory pricing of Rs 1,699. The product will go on sale from 12 PM, September 16, and will be available through Flipkart and boAt’s eStore. The boAt Airdopes 161 ANC also features a 10mm driver paired with boAt Signature Sound technology.
The device is backed by a large 500mAh battery with a rated backup of 50 hours. The company claims the TWS can offer 150 minutes of playback in 10 minutes of charging. The company adds that the earbuds takes 1.5 hours to complete a full charge from 0 to 100.
boAt has also provided the TWS with quad mics for better call quality. The TWS features an Active Noise Cancellation up to 32db, similar to the Flex 454 ANC. boAt Airdopes 161 ANC also sports an IPX5 rating, making it suitable for all weather conditions.
