Coolpad has announced an all-new entry-level smartphone, COOL 12A in China. The last smartphone under the COOL lineup, Cool 10 was announced back in June. The Coolpad COOL 12A comes with decent hardware and offers a large display, a Spreadtrum SoC, 4GB RAM, dual rear camera setup, 4000mAh battery, and fingerprint sensor at a very affordable price. Coolpad COOL 12A Price

The Coolpad COOL 12A is priced at RMB 599 (approx Rs. 6,463), but as an introductory offer, the company will offer it at a discounted price of RMB 569 (approx Rs. 6,139) during initial sales. The smartphone will be sold in Dream Black, Dream Blue, and Fantasy Silver color variants.

Coolpad COOL 12A Specifications and Features

The Coolpad COOL 12A features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution, a 19:9 aspect ratio. Similar to most other smartphones, the Coolpad COOL 12A has a modern edge to edge bezel-less design that results in a screen to body ratio of 93% as per the company. Under-the-hood, there is a quad-core Spreadtrum processor, the SoC has three Cortex-A55 CPU cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz and 1 Cortex-A75 CPU core that is clocked at 2.0GHz. The smartphone packs 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage which can be further expanded with the help of a micro-SD card.

Coming to the optics, the Coolpad COOL 12A comes with a dual rear camera setup with a squircle camera island. The primary rear sensor on the smartphone is a 16MP sensor, that gets accompanied by a 2MO depth sensor and an LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter for the selfies. The Coolpad COOL 12A packs a 4,000mAh battery with a Type-C charging port. The huge 4000mAh battery on the Coolpad Cool 12A promises a standby time of up to 14 days. The smartphone also packs a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with support for face unlock. The device measures 156.2mm x 75.2mm x 8.9mm and weighs around 202.5 grams.
