Reports have surfaced indicating that this extended version will introduce an additional scene featuring lead actress Rashmika Mandanna, contributing a fresh layer to the narrative.
Speculation about an extended cut gained traction after director Sandeep Reddy Vanga confirmed the existence of an extended OTT version in a recent interview. Vanga shared plans to incorporate scenes initially omitted from the theatrical release.
Expressing remorse for the previous edits, Vanga stated, “Now, I will be using those 5-6 minutes extra,” hinting at a more comprehensive storytelling.
Animal Plot and Cast
The film follows the story of Ranvir, a conflicted young man torn between supporting his tough father, Vijay, and adhering to his moral code. When a rival gang targets Vijay, Ranvir faces a tough decision: whether to stick with his father’s world or reject it. This choice sets off a chain of events with significant consequences. Amidst a harsh gang conflict, Ranvir finds himself involved in actions that contradict his values, transforming into a menacing psychopath.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal’s narrative is crafted by Vanga himself, and the screenplay is a collaborative effort between him and Saurabh Gupta. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. Cinematography is handled by Amit Roy, with editing overseen by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
