Some rumours about the upcoming OnePlus flagship smartphone have leaked in the past.

A new leak has now revealed the design renders of the OnePlus 12 5G. Tipster OnLeaks and SmartPrix have uploaded the 5K design renders of the phone, which reveals the design changes from all angles. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 12 design, specifications and other details revealed ahead of the launch.

OnePlus 12 5G: Design Renders (Leaked)

The leaked OnePlus 12 5G design renders show that the flagship smartphone will get some incremental design tweaks over the outgoing model. According to the leaked renders, the OnePlus flagship will launch with a Black colour option sporting the iconic sandstone finish.

The device’s camera module design is similar to the outgoing model. While the overall design of the camera module remains consistent with its predecessor, the OnePlus 12 adopts a square-ish camera island that seamlessly merges into the side frame. There are changes when it comes to the camera sensor layout as well. It looks like the OnePlus 12 will feature a periscope telephoto lens, which will be placed in the bottom half of the camera module. The top half of the circular camera module will feature the wide and ultra-wide camera sensors. We can also see the Hasselblad logo at the centre of the module. The LED flash is located at the top left corner.

The frame continues to remain curved. The left edge houses the volume keys, whereas the right edge has the power button. At the bottom edge are the USB Type-C port, the primary speaker grille and SIM tray.

On the front, the screen is slightly curved and has thinner bezels at the top and bottom. We can also see that the hole-punch cutout’s location is at the top centre, bringing it in line with most other flagship Android smartphones launching in 2023. The OnePlus 11’s hole-punch cutout was located at the top left corner of the curved display.

The phone is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature a QHD+ resolution and also offer 2K resolution.

Under the hood, there will likely be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is expected to launch at the Snapdragon Summit in October. The SoC will likely feature an Adreno 750 GPU as well. It was recently revealed that the phone will likely pack a 5000mAh battery and offer 100W fast charging support. There are some rumours about OnePlus bumping up the charging speed and launching the next flagship with 150W fast charging support.

On the back, the camera module is likely to house a 50MP Sony IMX9-series primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 64MP OmniVision sensor with a periscope lens. The phone is also tipped to feature a 32MP front camera, up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. More details about the phone should be available soon. We will share fresh details as and when available.
