To continue that, the campaign is getting another version this year called Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0. The initiative has been announced to mark India’s 77th anniversary of independence. Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0 Campaign: What is it?
The Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0 campaign is an initiative by the Indian Government to urge people to display the Tiranga at home in honour of the country’s 77th anniversary of independence. The government feels that this will raise patriotism among citizens, especially the youth.
Under this campaign, anyone can buy a National flag at just Rs 25 from the nearest post office. The National flag doesn’t attract any GST. Around 1.6 lakh post offices across India are all set to take part in this campaign by selling the National flag.
This year, the government plans (via ANI) to breach last year’s selling record of around 4.5 lakh National flags. These post offices will also have a selfie point so that citizens can spread awareness.
Each Indian flag measures 20 inches by 30 inches in size.
Steps to Buy Your Indian National Flag for Rs 25 from India Post
Under the Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0 campaign, any Indian citizen can buy the Indian National flag for just Rs 25 from the nearest post office. You can also order it online by following the steps mentioned below.
- Go to the post office portal and register as a new user.
- Next, log in to the platform and go to the National Flag product page.
- Add the flag to your shopping cart and enter your shipping information.
- Now, pay Rs 25 and the flag will be sent to the location you specified.
Do note that the Indian National flag doesn’t attract any GST or shipping fees, so you only have to pay Rs 25 for each flag that you buy. Each user can buy a maximum of five national flags from the post office. Please note that you will not be able to cancel your orders after they have been placed.
