Leaked Renders Reveals HMD’s First Smartphone Will Feature Dual-Camera Setup

As per the images, the device will feature a dual-camera setup at the back accompanied by an LED flash. The device’s rear will also include an HMD logo at the centre. On the front, the smartphone will have a punch-hole cutout which will accommodate the selfie camera. The power and volume keys will be located on the right edge of the device.

The specifications of this upcoming phone remain unknown as of now. Maybe in the coming few days, we can expect to learn more details about the company’s first smartphone courtesy of a few leaks and certifications. Last year, in November, two HMD devices with model numbers N159V and TA-1585 were spotted in the IMEI database. These renders are said to be of the device which possesses model number N159V. The marketing names of the N159V and TA-1585 remain unknown currently.

Separately, a post from Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter) divulges that Verizon will carry the N159V model. A separate report published by 91mobiles revealed back in November, that the HMD-branded smartphones will make their debut in April 2024. The report also mentioned that the HMD-branded smartphones will be priced aggressively and the devices will be sold through online channels such as Amazon and Flipkart.

It is said that the company will initially target budget and mid-range smartphones first, and the brand will slowly expand to the flagship models. The devices from HMD will offer more OS updates compared to the competition, and the smartphones will run stock Android out of the box.
