The Honor 9A is the more premium and pricier of the two new handsets launched today. This phone comes powered by the entry-level Mediatek MT6762R SoC that houses quad Cortex A53 cores decided in two clusters. The variant sold in India gets 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as well with a slot to increase the memory using microSD cards. The handset runs Android 10 beneath Magic UI 3.1. Google Play services aren’t supported owing to the ongoing trade war between the US and China. The phone does ship with Honor’s own AppGallery for app downloads.
The display used on the Honor 9A happens to be an LCD panel that measures 6.3-inches across and supports HD+ resolution. The panel is TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection features as well. The handset gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure, quick unlocking.
The camera setup on the Honor 9A includes a 13MP f/1.8 primary camera, a secondary 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 8-megapixels and can capture decent selfies.

The Honor 9S is a compact handset with a 5.45-inch HD+ display. It is powered by the same SoC we saw on the Honor 9A- the MediaTek MT6762R. The RAM is on the lower side, though, at just 2GB.
