Huawei sub-brand Honor has announced that its latest phone in the Indian market called the Honor 9X Pro. The device has already seen the light of day in global markets so there was nothing new in the way of specs of the device. Flipkart will be the exclusive partner for the sale of Honor 9X Pro, however, areas under the Red zone of the lockdown phase are still not going to get any items delivered which are not classified as essential.

Honor 9X Pro Price and availability

In India, the Honor 9X Pro has been priced at Rs 17,999 for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. However, as a special early access offer on Flipkart, the phone can be purchased for Rs 14,999. Pre-booking registrations for the device will be open till 19 May. You will also get a one-time free screen replacement for three months from the date of purchase.

Honor 9X Pro specifications

The Honor 9X Pro comes with a 6.59-inch Full-View display with a normal 60Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. In terms of dimensions the device measures in at 163.1mm x 77.2mm x 8.8mm while the weight of the phone is 206 grams. There is no notch or punch-hole display on the phone, instead, the selfie camera of the device is hidden in a pop-out mechanism that provides for a near bezel-less experience. The phone comes in two colours: Midnight black and Phantom Purple.

Huawei’s new in-house Kirin 810 SoC powers the device which is supported by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This can be expanded to 512GB using a standard microSD card. The phone has been announced without any Google services due to the ongoing US blacklisting of Huawei but the device will feature an alternative called the Huawei App Gallery. For authentication purposes, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Optics-wise the Honor 9X Pro happens to have a 48MP primary sensor which is supported by a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor. The pop-up camera has a 16MP sensor housed inside it. The smartphone also offers dual-SIM 4G VoLTE connectivity, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a Type-C port for charging. The entire setup is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and has fast charging support.
