Honor has released a teaser stating that it will be launching two foldable phones at the upcoming IFA 2023. One of the foldable will be the Honor Magic V2, which is currently only available in China. The other foldable will be announced by Honor at the IFA 2023 event on 1st September 2023.

Honor will be participating in the upcoming IFA 2023 Event in Berlin. The company says that its theme for this event will be a mix of Tech, Fashion, and Sustainability. Honor has started sharing invitations for its IFA 2023 Keynote, which mentions that it will be releasing two foldable devices globally.

Honor Magic V2 To Release Globally

Honor says that it will release the Honor Magic V2 in select countries outside China. The Magic V2 is the thinnest book-style foldable available to date with just 9.9mm thickness. The device was launched in China in July 2023, and Honor will take this phone to the global markets via its IFA Keynote.

Coming to the details of the phone, the Honor Magic V2 comes with a 7.92-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is rated for HDR10+ and can have peak brightness levels up to 1600 nits.

The Honor Magic V2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 16GB of RAM. The device runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. The global variant is expected to have support for GApps, as Honor is not affected by the US sanctions imposed on Huawei.

The Honor Magic V2 features a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary sensor that comes with OIS. The secondary camera is a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and the third camera is a 20MP sensor with 2.5X optical zoom. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor with support for HDR.

Honor’s Magic V2 runs on a 5000mAh battery, which supports 66W wires fast charging. The device also comes with wireless charging support. Connectivity options on the phone are 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an infrared sensor. The device does not have a headphone jack.

Honor’s Mysterious New Foldable

As the teaser says, Honor will be releasing two foldable at the IFA 2023 event. While we just listed the details of one of them (Honor Magic V2), the other foldable is a complete mystery as we have had no leaks or renders about this phone.

It is being speculated that this new foldable will be a flip phone by Honor. It is worth noting that Honor does not have a flip foldable in their portfolio, yet. It will be interesting to see what Honor has planned for its IFA 2023 event.
